| I have never been so happy to be alive in my life.
Yesterday one of the scariest things in my life happened. I got into a really bad car accident. An accident on I-290. For those of you who do not know much about Chicago driving, that is an interstate that is way way crowded and people drive way way fast. Anyways... Jakki was driving her moms cars and although we knew there was problems with the tire.. we drove anyways to go to her dads work to pick up this check. Sure enough, on the way home the car suddenly started shaking and swirving and we just lost controld of it. We first crashed into the wall on the right side of the road then spun full circle around and hit the median. When we were crashing I kept my eyes open(i mean come on, you dont get to see something like that everyday) and saw a huge semi swerve right past us, just barely missing the side of the car. We all know how Herscher generally works, when one person dies then they all start dying so, the frist thought that went through my mind was, "Oh shit, here it comes, the Herscher death count. Im next." Fortunately, the airbags went off and we made it through all that without hitting a single other car. Even the cop said we were lucky as hell to be alive and he dont know how this didnt end up being a huge car pileup. Neither of us were hurt real bad. Jakki just cut her hand and bruised her arm and my face got cut up from the windsheild glass(jakki was wearing her seatbelt, i dont think i was... dont really remember... so i hit the windsheild a little) and i had my knee up on the dash when the airbags went off so that really hurt it and i got a big ass bruise on my knee. No need to go to the hospital, although an ambulance did come and i had to be *examined* by two really really hot paramedics! One had his tounge pierced! So now, I would really like to say thank you god, lady luck, mother nature, higher power, buddah, or whoever was lookin out for us that day for not killing us and sending us hot paramedics.
P.S. Yes, the car is totaled. Sorry, Jakki. Sorry, Andrea. |
